As a single parent and a teacher trainer I'm an ardent advocate of those who dedicate their lives to the intellectual growth of children. My entire working life has been devoted to parents as well as teachers who want to help children become better readers. There are lots of practical things that parents and teachers can do. To parents especially, I want to say: You don't have to be a graduate of your local teachers college to help your kids gain greater comprehension skills. There are lots of ways you can help make reading exciting and successful for your kids. The goal of my website, my workshops, and my book, Read Well, Think Well, is to provide parents and teachers with easy-to-follow strategies that can boost any child's reading and critical thinking skills.
